I’ve lived in Marin County since 1950, graduated from Tam High and then UC Berkeley in 1971. I’ve been roofing in Marin County and the Bay Area since 1974 and incorporated the business in 1986. That means John Baldwin Roofing, Inc. has over 34 years of roofing experience. I’m proud to have worked with two employees for twenty years plus so there is a real consistency to this company. We are a small company dedicated to service and quality whether it be a small or large job. Much of the work we do is from referrals, so I want my customers to be happy and I want to be proud of the name and work of this company. We are members of the Better Business Bureau and carry full liability and workers compensation insurance.

We work with composition shingles rated from 30 year warranties to lifetime warranties. Some shingles come with certain energy saving qualities. We do tar and gravel roofing also known as “built up roofing” since sometimes no gravel is used and a cap sheet or reflective surface is used instead for energy conservation. We can also build pitch into low sloped or flat roofs. We do many kinds of tile roofing and repairs. We do slate roofs and some metal roofing and repairs. We are very qualified doing shingle siding and believe it or not we still do red cedar shakes. Of course these roofs all have to have a Class A fire rating. We also install soldered bonderized gutters and copper gutters of various shapes and sizes.
